How to Pay with Crypto
A step-by-step walkthrough for paying with USDC or USDT on Ethereum or Solana — from generating your quote to on-chain confirmation.

Send on the same network you selected at checkout — this is the one mistake we cannot undo.
Your exchange or wallet will ask which network to send on, and it has to match the one you picked. On Ethereum (sometimes labelled ERC-20) this matters most: Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, Optimism and BNB Chain all use an address in the same 0x… format as ours, so the withdrawal screen will happily accept our address and send your money to a chain we do not watch. On Solana, send only the coin you selected — each coin has its own address there and they are not interchangeable. Funds sent on the wrong network cannot be recovered.
Step by Step

Have USDC or USDT ready
Pay from an exchange account or a self-custody wallet — either works. You need one of the coins we accept, held on a network we accept. If you don't own any stablecoin yet, our How to Buy USDC guide covers buying one and choosing the right network; it takes most first-timers about fifteen minutes.
Start checkout and generate your quote
Add your items to the cart and begin checkout. Choose your coin and network, and you'll be shown the exact amount to send and the address to send it to. Because stablecoins are pegged 1:1 to the dollar, the amount equals your order total — no rate math. Your crypto quote stays valid for 60 minutes.
Send the exact amount to the address shown
From your exchange or wallet, send the exact quoted amount to the displayed address, on the network you selected. Send the precise amount — sending less flags the order as underpaid, and you'd need to top it up. The network also charges a fee paid separately from your own wallet (in ETH on Ethereum, in SOL on Solana) — it is not deducted from the amount you send us, and your wallet shows the cost before you confirm.
Copy your transaction hash (TX hash) — optional
Once you send, your exchange or wallet generates a transaction hash — a long string that acts as a permanent receipt. Find it under “Transaction Details” or “View on Explorer” and copy the full value. On Ethereum it starts with 0x and is 66 characters; on Solana it is a longer base58 string with no 0x prefix, sometimes labelled a signature.
Submit your TX hash (recommended, not required)
Your order is matched by the exact amount you sent, so it will confirm without this step. Pasting the hash into the checkout form is still the fastest route, and it's how we find your money if the amount alone can't. If you aren't ready to pay the moment you check out, that's fine — your order is saved and you can submit the hash later from your account's order history.
Automatic on-chain verification
Our system verifies the transaction directly on the blockchain — the amount, the destination, and the confirmations — with no manual review. Once confirmed, your order moves straight into processing and you'll get an email at each stage.
Match the network — and send the exact amount
Two things matter most. First, send on the network you selected: USDC and USDT exist on many blockchains, and we watch two of them — Ethereum mainnet and Solana. Sending on a network we do not watch (Tron, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain and so on) means we can’t credit the payment. Second, send the exact quoted amount — if a payment comes up short, the order is flagged as underpaid and you’ll be emailed a link to submit a second transaction for the difference.
Which network should I choose?
Solana is the cheaper option — network fees there are a fraction of a cent, where Ethereum gas is typically a few dollars and rises with congestion. On a typical order that difference is worth having. Choose Ethereum if your exchange doesn’t offer Solana withdrawals, or if you already hold USDT rather than USDC — USDT is an Ethereum option here and Solana is USDC only.
Why stablecoins?

Don't hold crypto?
You don’t need to. Cash App is available at checkout and is confirmed by hand, usually within a few hours, and any store credit on your account can be applied to an order. The payment options listed at checkout are always the current list.
